Pemcor LLC. Environmental PoliciesWe are often asked about our environmental policies and are pleased to know that the community at large is paying more attention to such important issues. Pemcor has truly become an industry leader in regards to "green" initiatives. We have taken a proactive and innovative approach in these matters, often exceeding customer's expectations.

1. Printing Inks

Pemcor uses "Agri Based" ink, which is manufactured using an organic renewable base content to produce inks with low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). All in-house coatings are water-based aqueous coatings and not UV-based.

2. Papers

Pemcor supports the use of recycled papers in publications and is able to source a brand of paper, on an ongoing basis, that contains recycled content that will also be acid- free and elemental chlorine-free.

3. FSC Certification

Pemcor is fully Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified complying fully to strict FSC requirements. The certification is very comprehensive and is granted through the FSC, a nongovernmental, non-profit organization that promotes the responsible management of the world's forests.

4. In-House Recycling

All materials used in production are handled within Pemcor's own environmental policies.

A. All of our printing plates, which are aluminum based, are recycled.
B. All waste inks are placed into drums for proper incineration and
    not land filled.
C. Press make-ready paper sheets are used many times before they
    are bailed for recycling.
D. All bindery trim-offs are bailed for recycling.
E. Pemcor utilizes a complete in-plant recycling system.
