Pemcor, LLC is proud to announce its recent FSC certification further demonstrating its commitment to protecting the environment. The certification is very comprehensive and is granted through the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), a nongovernmental, non-profit organization that promotes the responsible management of the world's forests. Established in 1993 as a response to concerns over global deforestation, the FSC is widely regarded as one of the most important initiatives of the last decade to promote responsible forest management worldwide.
Most FSC certified products are wood items such as paper and lumber, furniture, jewelry, and guitars. However, there are other non-wood FSC certified items like footballs and cosmetics. Depending on where you live, you will be most likely to come across the FSC label on:
» Books (check your copy of the final Harry Potter!)
» Train tickets (Germany)
» Sandwich packages (Marks & Spencer in the UK)
» And of course your local Do-It-Yourself store
Products carrying the FSC label are independently certified to assure consumers that they come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations. A tracking system allows tracking of FSC certified wood through the production chain to the final product when it is labeled.
Each individual operation is audited at least once a year. Pemcor, LLC fully complies with all FSC requirements to achieve and maintain FSC certification.

On 8/1/08, Pemcor acquired Westlawn Graphic/Group, a marketing/printing firm located in Reading. This acquisition adds additional "muscle" in a number of ways, each designed to provide Pemcor and Westlawn customers with better marketing solutions.
1. New Marketing services - This new division exists to increase customers' marketing effectiveness. The agency identifies marketing objectives and matches the strategy to obtain the appropriate results. The agency brings MBA level strategy and expert tactical advice to customers for more effective messaging, branding, and overall results.
2. Added print/mailing capability - Prices have become more competitive and the turn around time even shorter. This access to new high-speed digital equipment means greater quantities can be processed quicker for less money. In addition, mail processing will be more efficient because of the advanced mail processes.
3. Flexibility - Because there are many more options to choose from, communication pieces can be printed and created in numerous formats. Of course, the goal is to provide the most effective print pieces that produce measurable results.
The sum of this acquisition means better, smarter service for customers while sharing the economies of scale which ensure competitive pricing while greatly expanding Pemcor capabilities.
Pemcor recently revamped space to facilitate a new educational effort geared towards assisting their clients by providing relevant information in a seminar format. These seminars will cover a variety of topics including website design and strategy, using cross media campaigns to attract new customers, 7 power tips to grow your business, understanding how to save money on postage, file preparation, and more.
The space was once part of a large lunchroom but has been changed into a seminar room like no others. An Italian villa mural graces the entire wall to provide a feeling of sitting next to the Mediterranean, all the while being engaged in high level curriculum.
