PLM/ILM came to us with a need to produce another Annual Report for 2015. Keeping with the branding and themes we have developed over the past 4 years and continuing to create something fresh is always a challenge. Every project, we continue to think outside of the box, using new visual analogies and symbols to create strong meaning.
To create a new Annual Report with a fresh visual aesthetic while staying within the defined branding we have created for PLM/ILM.
During our discussions with PLM/ILM it was decided that this year we would incorporate more symbolic visual imagery and less photographic imagery, along with simplifying the layout and leaving more white space. Using flat color fills, a die-cut and several innovative varnish techniques on the covers and interior of the Report, we would utilize the simplistic layout to create a strong visual experience.
A recognizable asset to the defined PLM/ILM brand with a new, professional and modern appeal.
The Annual Report was well-received among both clients and employees. Notably, the varnish techniques used on the covers were especially adored.
